$2,000-worth ADF scholarship for VNU’s entrance exam best candidates
On July 11, 2018, Vice President Nguyễn Hồng Sơn and Vice President Cho Nam Chul signed a cooperation agreement between Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and Asia Development Foundation, Korea (ADF).

According to the agreement, ADF will provide 12 scholarships per year to 12 top candidates in VNU’s entrance examination, each valued $2,000. These students will continue to receive the scholarship until graduation, provided that they achieve the overall yearly study results from 3.2 credit points and over. VNU will provide free dormitory for ADF-recommended Vietnamese Korean nationals studying at VNU.

ADF President Kim Joon Il expressed his honour to be associated with a top-quality university in Vietnam. He affirmed to always cooperate and support VNU, especially to improve the quality of training through the Foundation’s scholarship programs to create stronger motivation for students. The ADF President wished VNU to cooperate and support the ADF in training Vietnamese Korean nationals at VNU.

Recognizing the cooperation and contribution of ADF, VNU Vice President Nguyễn Hồng Sơn stated that the signing ceremony was a milestone and the basis for the two sides to deploy activities in training, students support and exchange in the coming time. VNU Vice President believed that the ADF scholarship program not only helped students to study better, but also contributed to the high quality training of VNU. He also asserted that the VNU members would popularize and introduce the ADF scholarship to students and potential candidates.

VNU and ADF leaders agreed to create good conditions to carry out cooperation activities as well as to promote the scholarship for the top candidates in VNU’s entrance examination in the 2018 – 2019 Academic year.
