The launching of the Channel for Incubating Young Scientists and its Executive Board aims to increase high-quality resources, develop a team of lecturers, researchers, collaborators, and graduates, who are teaching, researching and studying at VNU and at other prestigious universities. Also, it aims at improving the quality of training and scientific research, serving the country’s industrialization and modernization.
Previously, VNU approved the project "Incubating young scientists at VNU" to concretize and implement the Party and the State’s guidelines and policies, and the development strategy of VNU up to 2030, with a vision to 2045. VNU will develop and implement policy packages of financial support and scientific sponsorship for participants in its incubation programs, ensuring the opportunity for them to benefit from scholarship programs of VNU’s training units, the Government or foreign countries during their research and study; obtain scientific patronage from reputable scientists, domestic or foreign training and research institutions to be able to carry out further study and research programs.
With the action slogan "Welcome to VNU to become a scientist", every student, who is passionate about scientific research and creativity and has the desire to become a scientist, will be welcome to join the above-named project. The incubation of young scientists at VNU is implemented in career guidance, attracting excellent students from high schools, undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral training programs at VNU, and from international partners. employers, etc.
By 2025, the project is expected to provide 1,000 scholarships for undergraduate and master's students, and 300 doctoral and post-doctoral scholarships, enabling 500 people to study and do internships at international partners, and 500 people to be employed.
