11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- Firstly, the thesis has built a scientific theoretical framework for analyzing political relations between Vietnam and Laos from 2012 to 2022. Specifically, after approaching some perspectives of Marxism - Leninism , Realism, Liberalism; viewpoints of Vietnam and Laos; Ho Chi Minh's ideology, Kaysone Phomvihan's ideology and a number of scholars, the thesis has introduced basic elements in Vietnam - Laos political relations, including (i) Subjects according to levels of analysis: national, local; (ii) method: Exchanging delegations, conducting conferences; solidarity, friendship, comprehensive cooperation; (iii) Content: Political relations between subjects on defense - security cooperation and foreign affairs; political relations between subjects regarding economic cooperation; political relations between subjects regarding socio-cultural cooperation; (iv) Objective: For (ensuring) the interests of each nation in the regional and international environment, building the country in each country to be independent, unified, peaceful, rich people, strong country, fairness, democracy, civilization, prosperity, prosperity.

- Secondly, political relations between Vietnam and Laos from 2012 to 2022 are studied scientifically and systematically on the basis of a political approach, according to which political relations between subjects about: defense - security and foreign affairs cooperation; economic cooperation; socio-cultural cooperation is the main research focus.

- Thirdly, international political relations 1945-1955 is thoroughly commented on, thereby pointing out its major impacts on the Vietnamese revolution as well as proposing several recommendations with theoretical and practical values for Vietnam in the current period.

- Thirdly, the political relations between Vietnam and Laos from 2012 to 2022 is thoroughly commented on, pointing out the impact factors (advantages and disadvantages) over the past time, and forecasting opportunities, challenges in the relationship between the two countries in the coming time, and at the same time make recommendations with theoretical and practical value to strengthen political relations between Vietnam and Laos in the period 2023 to 2032 and the following years.

12. Practical applicability, if any:

- The thesis’s research results can contribute to perfecting the theoretical basis of research on international political relations in general, and Vietnam - Laos political relations in particular from the approach of political science.

- The thesis can be used as a reference for scientists, experts, and students; can be used as material in teaching at training institutions on politics and international relations.

13. Further research directions, if any:

- Further improving the political approach in research on Vietnam vs Laos political relations, thereby defining more clearly theoretical basis and specific methods to cary out related studies.

- Expanding the scope of the research in terms of time, space, and content to further clarify the power competition between actors during the Cold War; assessing the impacts of those developments on Vietnam and pointing out valuable experiences and suggestions for the improvement of Vietnam’s foreign policy in the new situation.

- Expanding the scope and content of research to clarify the relationship between political subjects in the period 2023-2032, analyze more deeply the factors affecting to Vietnam - Laos political relations, and pointing out suggestions for the improvement of Vietnam's policy towards Laos in the new situation
