VNU’s alumni contributing to the national socio-economic development

VNU has the mission of: Training high quality human resources and cultivating talents; Promoting advanced science, technology, renovation and knowledge transfer; Contributing to the construction, development and protection of the country; Playing the role of a pioneer in the reforming of Vietnam’s higher education system.

Current outstanding Alumni of VNU by field:

In Politics, there are Politburo members, namely: General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang, Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung, the members of the Party Central Committee, including many ministers, directors of the Voice of Vietnam and Vietnam Television, Editors-in-Chief of Nhan Dan newspaper, Chiefs of the Office of the Party Central Committee, secretaries of Quang Ninh, Quang Binh, Phu Yen, Hau Giang provinces and many Deputy Standing Secretaries and Chairmans of People's Committees of provinces, as well as many key leaders of ministries, central and local departments.

In Science, there were Prof. Dr. Le Van Thiem, Prof. Tran Quoc Vuong, Prof. Dr. Tran Van Giau, Prof. Phan Huy Le, Prof. Nguyen Tai Can, Prof. Aca. Nguyen Van Dao, Prof. Ngo Bao Chau, Prof. Dam Thanh Son.

In addition to the well-known alumni participating in the state management apparatus and national science, VNU is proud to have an alumni network with numerous successful entrepreneurs in different fields, contributing to the national socio-economic development, helping the country strive with the world and at the same time standing side by side with VNU in many meaningful events and activities.

Many other alumni have been silently sponsoring VNU, where they have been trained and nurtured.

The success of the alumni entrepreneurs is the result of hard work, striving to work and learn tirelessly in a difficult and challenging business environment, which is the common pride of today’s generations of VNU lecturers and students.
