11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

Below are some main results of the thesis:

(1) The thesis has developed a theory system and theoretical framework for studying emotional disorders as well as influencing factors in secondary school students.

(2) The thesis has surveied on situation of emotional disorders in secondary school students and classified them into three different risk groups are low risk, medium risk and high risk.

(3) The thesis has showed and analyzed some factors related to emotional disorders in secondary school students which include: personal psychological factors such as: low self –worth, introvert - extrovert personality or stability - unstable personality and psycho-social factors such as social support; school issues and family issues are related to the rick of emotional disorders in secondary school students. "Learning pressures", "stability - instability of personality", "family issues" are the three most predictive risk factors for emotional disorders in secondary school students.

 (4) Some interventions have been proposed and tested to reduce the level of emotional disorders in high risk students. The test results demonstrated that group therapy using psychological education has a positive effect, reducing the risk of emotional disorders.

12. Practical applicability, if any:

The findings of this study is to be references for teaching in mental health care -  child and adolescent psychopathology, psychology in school and social work in school. 

13. Further research directions, if any:

Further studies focus on identifying issues related to child and adolescent’s mental health, and on applying models of prevention and intervention for mental health problems in school psychology and school social work.
