- Identified the characteristics and external and internal causes of environmental insecurity in Bac Ninh.

- Reorganize theories and practices of environmental security into a system and developed an Environment Security Index (ESI) for provincial level.

- Evaluated the roles of the People's Public Security Forces in ensurance of enviromental security in Bac Ninh.

- Proposed solutions to preserve and ensure environmental security in Bac Ninh province.

12. Practical applicability:

- The methodology and reseach findings can be applied to evaluate environmental security nationwide for provinces without borders as in the case of Bac Ninh.

13. Further research directions:

- Based on the systemic theories and practices of environmental security illustrated by ESI (Environment Security Index) at local level to develop national maps of environmental security status.
